Kindergarten Bus Schedule

Everyday, except, Wednesday's, Mrs. Pike and the children will load the Kindergarten Bus, leaving Paul School at approximately 8:25 and arriving at the Union School at 8:45. The children either arrive at the Paul School by bus or by cars to meet Mrs. Pike and the Kindergarten Bus. Your child is then picked up at 11:15 at the Union School by yourself, babysitter, or the daycare. The cars form a train around the building so you never have to leave your car. We will bring your child to you as the cars pull up.

If you plan on picking up your child at the Union School every afternoon, please be in the parking lot before 2:20 p.m. We start loading the bus at 2:30 and cars cannot be moving while the bus is in the parking lot and the children are moving towards the bus. If when you arrive and the bus is already at the top of the hill, please wait on the hill or at the bottom of hill until we have loaded the bus and left the parking lot (whether the lights are on or not). This is for the safety of the children crossing the parking lot. If you are already parked in front of the school when the bus arrives, please stay parked until the bus is loaded and left the parking lot. We really appreciate your help with this part of the day. It can be the most confusing time with cars coming and going the loading the bus.

In the afternoon, the Bus leaves the Union School at 2:30 to travel back to the Paul School with the Afternoon Class. If on the way back to Paul School we pass your home, your babysitter, or the daycare, we can stop and let your child off with your permission.

We reach the Paul School by 2:45 so you may either pick up your child then, go the rest of the way home on another bus (see bus route below), or wait with Mrs. Pike to walk/ride home with their siblings. Mrs. Pike will be contacting afternoon parents for your preference.

On Wednesday's, there is no bus trip to the Union School as all the Kindergarten sessions spend their day at Paul School. But at the end of the day, the children are either walkers (with siblings, parents, or sitters) or a buser.

For a couple of weeks, each bus will have a colored sheet of paper in front/side window so the children can recognize their bus by it's color, then by the driver, and then by the actual numbers assigned to the bus.
